Angola LNG resumes production after planned shutdown

Soyo, Angola, 7 October 2016: Angola LNG confirms that production and sales of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from its plant in Soyo have safely resumed following a period of planned shutdown. The shutdown was part of the commissioning programme of the LNG plant.

The plant is now producing safely and reliably and LNG cargoes have already been successfully loaded at Soyo and sold by international tender. Full hand over of the plant to Angola LNG from its contractor Bechtel will take place in due course after completion of performance testing.

In addition to LNG cargoes, Angola LNG will also produce cargoes of propane, butane and condensate, as well as gas supply for the local Angolan market.
