Amilton Cunha

Executive Manager, Angola LNG Limited

Amilton has broad experience in upstream, real estate, asset management, project management, engineering, finance, logistics, security, transportation and human resources. His leadership experience includes Directorship, Chief Executive Officer, General and Operations Management.

In oil & gas, Amilton had a succession of leadership roles for ExxonMobil in Angola and in the USA. In the upstream operations he was responsible for the
overall logistics for Block15 in Angola managing aviation, marine, yards, offices, warehouse, transportation and housing for onshore and offshore operations.

Amilton served as General Manager for the EagleHills / Emaar real estate investment fund in Angola.

Most recently, and prior to joining ALNG as Executive Manager, he was General Manager of SOMG since 2020 and prior to that CEO of Sonangol Imobiliária e Propriedades Limitada (SONIP), where he managed the subsidiary responsible for a global real estate portfolio up to $2.4Billion dollar’s value and the new urban centralities built in Angola up to $4Billion dollar’s value.

In his career, Amilton had the opportunity to manage large scale portfolios with over 1000 employees and contractors, with several million-man hours without incidents.

Amilton graduated in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering from the Instituto Superior de Engenharia, Porto, Portugal and has since completed leadership executive trainings at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School and at the University of Arizona Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Tania Silva 

CEO, Angola LNG Marketing Ltd

Tania Silva is the CEO of Angola LNG Marketing Ltd (“ALM”), a London-based company responsible for the global marketing of LNG from the Angola LNG plant. She also oversees the management of the shipping fleet transporting LNG cargoes and the sale of liquids from the project.

Tania has over 18 years of experience in the Oil and Gas sector, primarily within the Sonangol group (the Angolan State Oil Company), where she has held several positions.

She began her career in the Business Development and Strategy Department of Sonagás ER – Sonangol Gás e Energias Renováveis, S.A. (formerly Sonangol Gás Natural Limitada). There, she was part of the team involved in the creation of ALM. She was later seconded to ALM, working in various roles, including Senior Analyst in the Planning and Portfolio team, Communications Advisor/HES Manager, and Account Manager in ALM’s Marketing team.

In 2021, Tania returned to Sonangol, joining the project team for the Terminal Oceânico da Barra do Dande, a storage facility for oil products aimed at ensuring the country's strategic reserves. She was subsequently entrusted by the Sonangol Board to lead the Sonangol Group rebranding project.

In July 2022, Tania was appointed Head of Non-Operated Assets for Sonagás ER and Chair of the Senior Review Committee, an advisory committee to the Board of Angola LNG. She held this role until her appointment as CEO of ALM. Tania holds two undergraduate degrees: one in Business Management from Universidade Lusíada de Angola and another in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Manchester. She also has a postgraduate in Global Business from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Kenneth Yoss

General Manager, Sociedade Operacional Angola LNG S.A

Ken Yoss is General Manager of Angola LNG Operating Company S.A. In this position, Ken oversees the Angola LNG plant, based in Soyo, Angola, ensuring overall safe and reliable operations.

Ken has broad experience in operations, business, finance, engineering, technology applications, supply chain (with local content), security, and human resources. His management experience includes Operations General Management, Oil and GasProduction, Sour Gas Processing,
Pipeline Management, Power Generation, Partner and Community Relations, Marine Services, and Technology Solutions.

At Chevron, Ken served as Future Growth Project (FGP) Operations Manager in Kazakhstan. During this period, he managed over 2000 employees and contractors, ensuring that the FGP Operations organisation was prepared and qualified to commission, start up, and operate the new TCO asset.

Ken previously worked in Russia and China as and spent several years of leading operations and engineering support teams throughout Asia, Europe, Eurasia, Africa, South America, the United States. Ken is very knowledgeable in complex process facilities operations and management, having also consolidated his experience in government and partner relationships with extensive involvement with IOC partnerships in Asia, Eurasia and Africa.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO, USA.

Amilton Cunha

João Gaspar

General Manager, Sociedade De Operações e Manutenção De Gasodutos S.A.

Joao Gaspar is the General Manager of SOMG - Sociedadede Operações e Manutenção de Gasodutos S.A., based in Luanda- Angola, managing the service company responsible for transporting natural gas via the offshore pipeline network to the Angola LNG-operated plant in Soyo. 

Joao has broad experience in operations, business, finance, engineering, supply chain, contract negotiations and human resources. He has been working in the oil & gas industry for over 27 years, holding several supervisory and managerial positions in different upstream areas, namely in Chevron and Sonangol in Angola and the USA.

At CABGOC, an affiliate of Chevron in Angola, Joao held several supervision positions in Bloco 0 & 14, including the consolidation of a Gas Management vision in anticipation of the commitments to supply associated gas to Angola LNG. 

At Sonangol, Joao served during almost 10 years as Operations Manager for the Blocks Operated by Sonangol Pesquisa & Produção in Angola, managed an annual budget (OPEX& CAPEX) up to $600 MM and a workforce of 400 people, both employees and contractors.

During this period, he safely managed Major Capital Projects, including the P & A (Plugging and Abandonment) of the Canuku field in Block-3 and the Dry Dock of the FSO Palanca. Prior to joining SOMG in December of 2022, Joao was a member of the Team that managed the Sonangol Regeneration Program, leading the Sub-Team in charge of the Upstream segment. 

Joao holds a Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Institute of Chemistry and Petroleum of Baku, Azerbaijan.
