In order to meet the world’s growing energy needs in an environmentally and socially responsible manner, Angola LNG is committed to supporting sustainable development in Angola through both our core business and strategic investments in areas outside our core business.
Principles of Our Support to Sustainable Development
Integrate actions into our core business activities – We recognize that the private sector can improve the lives of people in low-income countries by providing direct employment, procuring from local suppliers, and providing training and capacity building for both individuals and suppliers that will facilitate their ability to participate more effectively in the economy in the future.
Be values driven – We strive to be recognized and respected by our investors, hosts and customers for our results regarding people, safety, environment and health, and to be accepted as an operator of choice in Angola.
Think long-term – We recognize that sustainable development is a defining challenge of our era, and that finding solutions requires a long-term outlook and sustained commitment to a host of development investments.
Act in partnership – We recognize that our efforts to support sustainable development in Angola will be maximized through working in partnership with other entities active in development initiatives, including national and local government, NGOs, and multi- and bi-lateral donors.

ALNG has five target sectors for the Community Investment Programme which will be aimed at Zaire Province, namely:

Education sector improvements
Improvement of basic services, such as water
Agriculture development Economic development, including small business development and support
